TN Waste – Knoxville, Tennessee
Lyte was formed in 2012 upon the conclusion of Uryka partnership and operations. Lyte established individual operations in Richmond, California and furthered the design and process of ASR and used sandblasting grit. Lyte entered into a joint venture in conjunction with TN Waste called Aurora, LLC.
– Lyte’s processing equipment was disassembled and shipped from Richmond to a new greenfield facility in Knoxville, TN.
– TN Waste is an east Tennessee waste hauler and landfill operation that focuses on special processes to recover and recycle a portion of the landfill waste stream that they are contracted to pick-up.
– TN Waste worked with Cemex to try and supply a refined ASR (auto shredder residue) product for use as a fuel source for cement kilns so, Lyte’s equipment and processes were reconfigured and tested to process this ASR into a refined product sufficient to meet Cemex’s fuel requirements. By early 2013, a contract with Cemex never resulted so, the JV was dissolved and Lyte relocated its equipment to a new facility back in its home-town base operations of Los Angeles, California.
